Apakah Yang Membuat Lansia (Old People) Bali Bahagia? Studi Eksplorasi Pendekatan Psikologi Indigenous

Happiness is a feeling or also known as subjective well-being that originate from individual (Diener, 2000). Someone who are classified as elderly also have the right to be happy. By age, the elderly is 65 years old and ove, they began to decline physically. This study aims to explore what makes the elderly in Bali to be happy. Methods of research using the survey method with questionnaire containing open-ended questionnaire about the happiness that was adapted from Kim & Berry (2000). Respondents in this study were 65 elderly people who are natives of Bali, residing in Bali, and over 65 years old. Data analysis in this study is to analyze the responses of the subject, categorized and rated in each category coding. Then analyzed using descriptive analysis of the respondent's answers. The results show there are four sources of happiness in the elderly in Bali, namely (1) health (40%), especially the health of self and family (2) family togetherness (38.46%) like to enjoy leisure together, (3) the success of children (12.30 %), and (4) can perform the activity (9.23%), such as caring for grandchildren, making sesajen, and mebanten.
